Research, Monitoring, and Decision Support with Climate Engine
Background¶
This workshop session, led by the Climate Engine team, covered using Climate Engine Tools for exploratory data analysis and decision support. Climate Engine Tools provide access to 115+ datasets, including remote sensing products and drought indices, and leverages cloud computing to allow users to easily create maps and charts. This four-hour introductory workshop for Tahoe basin practitioners focused on foundational information, hands-on demos, and decision-support workflows.
Workshop Session Outcomes:
- Attendees are able to visualize, analyze, export, and share climate and remote sensing data
- Attendees know what datasets are available and where to find information on them
- Attendees know how to make all combinations of maps and charts available within the app
- Attendees have completed demos connecting to real world events
- Attendees completed multi-step analyses using maps and charts
- Attendees know how to find support articles and reach out to the Climate Engine Team
